CHICAGO — State Senator Mattie Hunter is hosting her annual Family Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Illinois Institute of Technology (33rd and State Street).
This year marks the 20th year of bringing free health screenings, school supplies, local resources and essential services to the community. Dozens of vendors will be on site with live entertainment, giveaways, family activities and more. The event is in partnership with the Institute of Positive Living, the Illinois Institute of Technology, Ada S. McKinley and TASC.
The Illinois Secretary of State will be hosting a Mobile DMV at the event. Interested residents can call Hunter'soffice at 312-949-1908 to make an appointment to renew driver’s licenses and ID cards, purchase vehicle stickers and sign up for a Real ID.
Volunteers are needed for event setup, staffing and teardown. Interested individuals should fill out this volunteer form.
