The Illinois Toll Highway Authority is currently seeking applications for the following positions:
Executive Secretary ($35,000 - $45,000 per year)
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent is required
- Five years previous secretarial experience is required
- Ability to pass a typing test at 60 WPM

- A Bachelor's Degree plus three years accounting experience in an organization of at least $50 million in revenue, or a combination of college accounting courses and five years work experience in an organization of at least $50 million in revenue.

Welder ($22.37 per hour)
- High School graduate or GED equivalent is required
- Minimum of two years welding and/or fabricating experience is required
- Must possess a Class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with endorsements of air brakes, tanker and trailer combination or a valid Class "A" CDL permit at the time of interview with the above endorsements
- Able to lift 100 pounds
- Required to pass a written examination with a minimum of 75% or higher in order to qualify

Chicago Career Tech is now accepting applications for the education-based Career Training
and corporate-based Pathways to Employment programs which will begin in spring 2012.
Career Training is an education-based, three- to six-month program that includes quality hands-on training, classroom training and career counseling necessary for participants to obtain and succeed in high-demand technology-based careers. Each track offers industry-recognized certification upon completion of the program.
Pathways to Employment offer both corporate-based education and hands-on training with a
local business with immediate hiring needs. Upon completion of the program, graduates may
be interviewed and considered for immediate employment.
Chicago Career Tech applicants must meet and provide appropriate documentation for ALL
of the following core minimum qualifications:
■Legal right to work in the United States
■Resident of the City of Chicago
■Minimum of a high school degree, GED certificate, or higher level of education
■Unemployed (no earlier than January 1, 2008) with previous annual income of $25,000 to $90,000 (NEW!)
■Eligible to collect or have exhausted unemployment insurance (UI) benefits in the State of Illinois
■Not enrolled in another job training program during the duration of the Chicago Career Tech program
■Not a previous Chicago Career Tech participant
■Able to pass criminal background check and drug test
