Summer internship program to expose exceptional students to the daily operations of the state treasurer’s office being offered June 1 through August 31, 2011. Interns will have the opportunity to work in a specialized area that reflects their academic study with responsibilities ranging from basic administrative functions to specific department projects. Compensation is the rate of $9.50 per hour, and applications will be accepted through May 6, 2011. Potential candidates must have a background or interest in public policy, marketing, communications, public relations, or any other applicable field associated with the state treasurer’s office. Students must also possess a strong work ethic and have the ability and initiative to complete tasks independently.
