Summer internship program to expose exceptional students to the daily operations of the state treasurer’s office being offered June 1 through August 31, 2011. Interns will have the opportunity to work in a specialized area that reflects their academic study with responsibilities ranging from basic administrative functions to specific department projects. Compensation is the rate of $9.50 per hour, and applications will be accepted through May 6, 2011.

Senator Hunter is partnering with the Cook County Board of Review and other fellow elected officials who represent Hyde Park Township to co-sponsor a property tax assessment appeal forum.
