March is nationally recognized as Women’s History Month. In this video, State Senator Mattie Hunter discusses the way women shaped America.

From 1994-1996, Senator Mattie Hunter had the privilege of helping the people of South Africa by serving as the managing director for the Center for Health and Human Services in Johannesburg. In this video, she reflects on the experience and excitement of being a part of an international move to fight the effects of apartheid.

Senator Mattie Hunter held her 10th Annual Health Fair at the Illinois Institute of Technology on August 3. The fair included public services, hair cuts and massages along with a number of entertainment acts.
