 State Senator Mattie Hunter (D - Chicago) is urging residents of Englewood to get involved in Governor Pat Quinn's Neighborhood Recovery Initiative, or NRI.  The NRI will have an organizational meeting on Friday, May 18th at 5958 South Marshfield Avenue.  For more information, click here to view a flyer for the event.

Senator Hunter is encouraging area residents to attend the Community Resource Fair on Saturday, March 24th, presented by People's Gas, ComEd and the Community & Economic Development Association of Cook County. 

Resources available for attendees include:

  • Information on obtaining legal counsel for foreclosure proceeding and other housing issues
  • Information on obtaining a CEDA grant
  • Applications for grants to help pay for or reconnect gas or lights
