Chicago, IL., October 24, 2013 – To help taxpayers combat increasing property taxes, Commissioner Larry Rogers, Jr., of the Cook County Board of Review, has partnered with 3rd Ward Alderman, Pat Dowell, Cook County Commissioner Robert Steele, Recorder of Deeds Karen Yarbrough, Senator Mattie Hunter, Cook County Commissioner Stanley Moore, State Representative Marcus Evans, State Representative Christian Mitchell, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Board Commissioner, Kari Steele and the Chicago Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., to host a property tax appeal community forum on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at 6:30 pm. The meeting will take place at D’Estee, Inc., Headquarters, located at 4525 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL.

Love, a fourth grader, is holding a press conference 9:45 a.m., on his birthday, Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Beasley Academy Center, 5255 South State Street in Chicago, to announce his second annual toy drive this time for the flood/tornado victims of Oklahoma and Denver, Colorado.
“I am launching this drive to help the kids who were victims of the flash flood and the tornadoes that destroyed their homes and sometimes took their lives,” said the fourth grader. “My goal is to collect 2000 toys and give 1,000 to Oklahoma and 1,000 to the children in Denver. I want to make kids smile through tough times,” said Sam Love.
