Senator Hunter is encouraging area residents to attend the Community Resource Fair on Saturday, March 24th, presented by People's Gas, ComEd and the Community & Economic Development Association of Cook County. 

Resources available for attendees include:

  • Information on obtaining legal counsel for foreclosure proceeding and other housing issues
  • Information on obtaining a CEDA grant
  • Applications for grants to help pay for or reconnect gas or lights

Job Readiness Workshop seeks applicants by March 30th

Munity | Chicago, an affiliate of the Chicago Summer Business Institute, will host a free Job Readiness Workshop for students who are currently sophomores and juniors in high school on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Workshop highlights include creating effective resumes, preparing for successful interviews, making positive first impressions, understanding office etiquette and interactive role-playing.
