CHICAGO – Chicago Public Library will receive a grant of more than $4 million and State Senator Mattie Hunter (D-Chicago) is excited for the advances it will bring to the community.
“The Chicago Public Library will receive much needed upgrades, which will serve countless Chicagoans,” Hunter said. “Libraries across the state have suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic, and these grants are more necessary than ever.”
CHICAGO – A state-of-the-art oral care center is coming to Chicago’s Near West Side, thanks to a law signed by Governor J.B. Pritzker that was championed by State Mattie Hunter (D-Chicago) and State Representative Lakesia Collins (D-Chicago).
“The Near West side will greatly benefit from having high quality dental care available, especially for residents that have served our country,” Hunter said. “Our veterans have done so much for this country, and do not always receive enough love in return for their sacrifices. Making sure they have accessible dental care is just one way we can show our gratitude.”
CHICAGO – A new law sponsored by State Senator Mattie Hunter (D-Chicago) that will improve access to healthcare for low-income and uninsured residents was signed into law by Governor Pritzker Wednesday.
"Expanding access to health care includes improving hospital community benefit plans," Hunter said. "This measure offers patient-centered changes and increased options for affordable care, which is crucial to bring equity to our communities."
